Parish Priest – Canon Jonathan Brandon

Fr Jonathan Brandon originally comes from West Kirby, Wirral. After training at Ushaw College, Durham, he was ordained a priest in 2005. After spending a few years in the diocese as an assistant priest in Hazel Grove, he went to Rome to do further study, specialising in Dogma. On his return to the diocese, Fr. Jonathan was appointed as Parish Priest of Holy Angels, Hale Barns and then St. Columba’s and St. Theresa’s, Chester. Canon Jonathan was appointed to St. Vincent’s parish in September 2019.
Assistant Priest – Father Robert Dykes

Father Robert was born and raised in Crewe. After his A-Levels, he spent three years training for the priesthood at the Séminaire de la Société Jean-Marie Vianney in Ars, France, and then a further four years at St. Mary’s College, Oscott, Birmingham, where he was ordained to the diaconate. After completing his studies, he spent five months in Holy Apostles and Martyrs’ Parish, Wallasey, before coming to us as parish deacon in February 2020. Father Robert was ordained to the priesthood on Fourth August 2020 at Shrewsbury Cathedral and was then reappointed to us as Assistant Priest.
Assistant Priest – Father Godlove Amungwa

Fr Godlove Amungwa hails from Bambui (Cameroon). Following his studies at the University of Buea (Cameroon), he moved over to Spain where he did the first part of his training for the priesthood at the Facultad de Teología of the Universidad de Navarra (Spain) with placements at Parròquia Santa María de Gràcia in Barcelona (Spain). He then moved to the UK where he completed his training at St Mary’s College, Oscott and was ordained for the Diocese in 2023.
He likes and plays different sports (tennis, football, padel, volleyball, swimming, boxing, Jeet Kun Do, Aikido, cycling, table tennis etc); video games, reading, music, travelling, and particularly enjoys learning languages and interacting with people from different cultures in different languages.
