Canon Jonathan Brandon

Fr Jonathan Brandon was appointed to St Vincent’s in 2019 after having spent four years as parish priest at St Columbas and St Theresa, Chester. He originally comes from West Kirby, Wirral and was ordained in 2005. Since then he has served at parishes in Hale Barns and Hazel Grove.

Fr Keith Butterworth

Fr Keith Butterworth is a retired priest who was ordained here at St Vincent’s in 1998 having previously been ordained in the Church of England in 1973. Before his retirement, Fr Keith was parish priest at Holy Family for 11 years. He is married to Ann and has three children and eight grandchildren.

Fr Keith was born and brought up in Rossendale. He plays double bass in an amateur orchestra and enjoys reading, travelling on trains and narrowboat holidays.

Rev Deacon John Penny

Deacon John was born and bred in Coventry. He went to Cardinal Wiseman Boys Comprehensive School and trained as a Graphic Designer at Lanchester Polytechnic. He was married at Corpus Christi Church in Coventry to Debbie in 1975. He has three children and retired from his graphic design business in order to spend more time in the parish. John and his family moved to Altrincham in 1983 and in 1998 he offered himself for training for the Permanent Diaconate. He was ordained deacon by Bishop Brian in July 2001 at St Vincent’s.

His interests include: walking, horse riding, painting, reading science fiction and DIY.
